Haunted House Slam and Scarecrow Challenge

 What a sad way to end a great tournament. 8:30 AM Update                                                Sadly, I have just been informed by the park that the field conditions are NOT PLAYABLE.  Unfortunately, with limited drying opportunities (no sun, low wind, etc...) the fields will not dry in a timely manner.  We just can't push back much past 12:00 because then we run into reduced daylight hours.  It is with great sadness that we have to tell you that  bracket games for today have been cancelled.  If you've played at Rolf Park before, you know that the staff here does an amazing job prepping the fields and dealing with wet conditions.  Although this is sad news, I do trust their evaluation and determination as they consider playing conditions and the safety of our athletes.   This also marks the final tournament for the Rolf Park manager, Brian Zattau....

THERE IS A MINIMUM OF A 3 HOUR DELAY TODAY.  PLEASE NOTIFY YOUR FAMILIES Water standing in the outfield.  Infields have standing water and mushy. Limited drying opportunities at this point. At this point, we have a minimum of a 3 hour delay.  We'll update you again at 8:30.  Coaches,  I'm sorry TourneyMachine seemed to list standings incorrectly.  I have reviewed based on the scores that were reported and the bracket schedule is now (should be) final.  Please review.  If you see an error please let me know.  If a score was reported incorrectly, please let me know.   Please remember that the last game for Lady Irish Baldwin did NOT count in standings. This left a 4 way tie in the HS division.  When more than one teams are tied with the same record, the head-to-head match ups are thrown out and we use Runs Allowed, then Runs scored for tie breakers.   All brackets should be live and available on TourneyMachine now.   Please ...

  Coaches,  The Haunted House Slam is coming up in just a couple of days!  We're excited for a fun tournament.   Reminder to bring your best decorated costume.  Stop by the tournament HQ sometime Saturday for a pic with your scarecrow for judging Saturday night.  During bracket play on Sunday, the winning team of each game will collect the scarecrow from the losing team. The champions will have all scarecrows from the division!  If you haven't already, please send your roster and insurance via email to tournaments@nwoladyirish.com It's important that you text your scores to (419) 540-2136 after each game.  Brackets will be posted by 6:30 PM (earlier if we have all scores).  IF we don't receive a score for a game, we'll go to game changer (provided we can find one or both teams) and enter the score from the game.
