Haunted House Slam - Weather & Delay Update

8:30 AM Update                                     

Sadly, I have just been informed by the park that the field conditions are

NOT PLAYABLE. 

Unfortunately, with limited drying opportunities (no sun, low wind, etc...) the fields will not dry in a timely manner.  We just can't push back much past 12:00 because then we run into reduced daylight hours. 

It is with great sadness that we have to tell you that 

bracket games for today have been cancelled. 

If you've played at Rolf Park before, you know that the staff here does an amazing job prepping the fields and dealing with wet conditions.  Although this is sad news, I do trust their evaluation and determination as they consider playing conditions and the safety of our athletes. 

This also marks the final tournament for the Rolf Park manager, Brian Zattau.  If you see him out and about as he rides off into glorious retirement, make sure you thank him for everything he has done for almost a decade, to facilitate great playing conditions for all of the tournaments at Rolf Park. 

Awards for the champions and runners up will be determined by final pool play standings.  

I'll communicate with each coach on how to facilitate getting awards your teams.

THERE IS A MINIMUM OF A 3 HOUR DELAY TODAY.  PLEASE NOTIFY YOUR FAMILIES

Water standing in the outfield.  Infields have standing water and mushy.
